What does the job look like?

Join Linfox as a Commercial Manager in the thriving retail space and lead the charge in driving financial and commercial excellence. In this exciting role, you will manage the intricate commercial and financial aspects of customer contracts, ensuring compliance with Linfox policies, legislative obligations, and customer expectations. You'll have the opportunity to analyse new business opportunities and optimise existing contracts, directly impacting our growth and success. • Compile the annual plan and evaluate commercial and financial performance against the plan each week, including the preparation and analysis of financial models applied across the customer contract. 
• Provide proactive specialist support to the GM and Site Managers to facilitate the maximization of business opportunities with existing and new customers.
• Develop, maintain, and have an absolute understanding of KPI’s of the contract.
• Lead and coach the finance and operational teams with preparation and analysis of annual budgets and forecasts and develop a team-based culture of co-operation and communication on site.
• Deep dive into customer contracts/operational areas performing under expectation and work with operations to propose remedial action.
• Provide analysis to assist in gaining an understanding of business performance and identify opportunities to refine current processes to further improve customer profitability.
• Supporting C&I initiatives alongside operations to enhance efficiency and drive process improvements.

Are you the one?

You are a hands-on commercial analyst who can take initiative with a desire to achieve results and a passion to get involved in and master the commercial details of the division. You can demonstrate:

• Several years of management and commercial experience in a similar position within the Transport and Logistics industry.
• Direct customer service experience with a proven record of achievement in workplace KPI management.
• Extensive experience managing profit and loss, along with all associated financial requirements.
• Advanced MS Excel skills are essential, with preferred knowledge of Power BI and SAP.
• A degree in Business Studies or Accounting, with completion or progress towards CPA or CA certification being desirable.
