The Opportunity
We are seeking a key leader to join the Montefiore’s Residential Aged Care team in the role of General Manager of Residential Care.
Reporting to the Director of Quality & Clinical Governance, the General Manager of Residential Care will be responsible for:
- Providing oversight in the delivery of quality care services across designated Aged Care sites.
- Providing guidance and leadership to the Executive Care Managers at assigned locations.
- Ensure that residential nursing services comply with the legal and ethical requirements applicable to residential Aged Care.
- Drive the strategic planning process for residential care services and contribute to the overall strategic planning process.
- Actively promoting and embodying Montefiore’s Values to all stakeholders and ensure that the delivery of services is in alignment.
- Overseeing the financial performance of designated Residential Care units and assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
For this appointment we are seeking a collaborative Healthcare leader who has the ability to lead through influence and drive high performing teams. As a senior operational leader, you will have an evidenced track record overseeing an Aged Care or broader Healthcare team of a similar scale and have provided exceptional client care outcomes. In addition, the successful candidate will have;
- Experience working in a senior leadership capacity across a multidisciplinary care team
- A current and unrestricted qualification as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- A strong knowledge and understanding of operating principles, practices and processes in relation to care services, ideally in an Aged Care environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), across varying levels of an organisation.
- An ability to build and foster a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Knowledge of Aged Care legislation and its funding instruments.
- Strong commercial acumen with adept budgeting and financial management skills
