About the Role:
The CFA have a leadership opportunity for an ICT Commercial Manager. Reporting directly to the CIO the successful applicant will take responsibility for vendor and contract management for all ICT vendors across the CFA. Importantly your expertise will drive value for the organisation derived from calculated negotiation techniques, additionally fostering strategic commercial relationships. The role will require definition and enforcement of policy and process associated with vendor management This role is an important member of the ICT leadership team and will work with colleagues in ICT and across the broader CFA to define and deliver the ICT commercial strategy and value for the organisation.
The ICT Commercial Manager will manage and work collaboratively with a small and dedicated team responsible for a combination of IT vendor management (contract, performance, relationship, risk). They own and must understand contractual, commercial and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure effective delivery of committed products, services and solutions, as well as CFA procurement and commercial responsibilities.
About You:
- A bachelor's degree in business, management or a related field and extensive experience in vendor management and negotiation
- Proven experience in successfully leading a team in the management of vendors/third parties, including, but not limited to strategic sourcing, vendor risk & performance, relationships, contracts (including negotiations), and issue and dispute resolution
- Experience driving change and facilitating collaboration also action in highly complex organisations
- A broad know ledge of the IT industry and familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of the vendor life cycle (sourcing, procurement, vendor management), how internal roles interact and operate throughout the duration of vendor engagements and, products and services provided by technology vendors.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts, such as depreciation schedules, capitalization, return on investment, and total cost of ownership
- Ability to effectively interpret and act on data visualizations and analytics, particularly regarding trends in vendor performance and activity
- Experience with IT standards such as ITIL and COBIT is desired, but not required
