The role demands highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams across the business, and within client organisations.We are flexible for this position to be based in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and hybrid working is offered.Key responsibilities include.· Managing, undertaking and finalising contract reviews ensuring to facilitate input from key stakeholders including technical and legal teams to ensure terms reflect UGL preferred policy positions· Supporting tender clarifications, in particular those aspects concerning contractual and commercial and financial elements of tenders.· Leading contract negotiations with customers. Ensure negotiations are successfully completed within agreed parameters for pricing and contractual risk profiles, and are in line with the company’s strategies and policies.· Work closely with bid directors and Legal teams to review and sign off departures for new contracts for negotiation. Ensure internal approvals accurately reflect proposed or agreed commercial terms, are prepared in a timely manner.· Close collaboration with stakeholders such as in-house legal counsel, tendering team, senior management, as well as the commercial team & JV partners· Prepare documentation and presentation material for briefings with clients, internal stakeholders and JV partners.· Lead commercial risk and opportunity reviews & workshops for complex contract.· Support bid directors in winning for strategic bids, deploying commercial strategies to ensure successful negotiations.· Ensuring the safeguarding of confidential information including client, consultant and UGL data.· Support the coordination of commercial handover phase of successful opportunities.Requirements to be successful.· Minimum 15 years of relevant experience dealing with management of project change, claims and variations, negotiation. Major contractors experience in joint venture environments preferred.· Desirable tertiary degree in Law, Business, Engineering or Commerce (or proven relevant experience in previous role in commercial or legal)· Ability to review major complex bespoke contracts in the building and civil engineering sectors to identify and communicate risks and mitigation strategies to the bid teams.· Experience working on bids of varying amounts and across various contract structures (D&C, Supply & Install, EPC, TOC Frame Agreements, Service Agreements)The above qualifications and experience requirements are a guide to what we think will contribute to the success of this role, however if you do not tick all the boxes and feel that you could still be a fit then please apply, all applications will be considered.Please note that relevant screening checks may be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
