We are seeking a self-motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Commercial Manager. This person must be innovative by nature and always proactive in their work strategy to develop, maintain and manage new business opportunities. This role is vital in achieving sales and profitability targets for growing business segments.
We are open to considering applications from candidates located in both Brisbane and Melbourne.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to optimise revenue, profitability, and growth of the divisions P&L
- Oversee the performance of products and propositions across various divisions monitoring commercial performance and developing sales strategies
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with key resale channels, establishing and managing commercial terms
- Monitor sales across various channels and product lines to uncover opportunities and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the Segment management team to position, conceptualise and articulate product differentiation and sales strategies
- Review and communicate product performance findings to key stakeholder groups
- Develop and execute sales strategies with partners to facilitate expansion into new business areas
- Monitor and report on market trends uncovering opportunities for expansion in neighbouring market segments
- Perform competitor analysis to gauge benchmark pricing and market-shaping events
- Leverage existing reporting tools to identify product performance, profitability, and operational efficiency, enabling strategic business decisions working closely with finance
- Create clear, concise and compelling presentations for both internal and external audiences that articulate ideas and strategies that have been developed
- Manage the forecast process for associated product lines, prepare periodic sales reports as required and track overall sales performance
- Prepare documentation and submissions for Tenders, Expressions of Interest and Requests for Information
About you:
You'll be an entrepreneur who is innovative by nature and passionate for achieving business goals. You'll have exceptional skills in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sales, Engineering or other relevant discipline (highly desirable)
- Has 10+ years of business development, strategy, product management, and/or sales management experience in Construction, Surveying or related field
- Commercial experience dealing with technology based solutions and products (highly desirable)
- Previous successful sales track record is essential
