ABOUT THE ROLE The Commercial Operations Executive will be responsible for the implementation of commercial strategies, programs and products between AFL, Clubs, AFL Players and the broader industry. With the key to success in building strong relationships with all 18 Clubs, to maintain tactical, commercial support, ensuring long term sustainability and commercial success. As well as assisting with the implementation of the new player ambassador program across the key partners and the broader industry. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Key Accountabilities: Monitor and provide governance across AFL Commercial Operations Guidelines (AFL & AFLW) Assisting Clubs navigate the commercial landscape and opportunities in line with the AFL's sponsor portfolio. Build strong relationships with all 18 Clubs and maintain commercial support to ensure long term sustainability Foster a strong culture of innovation and embracing new integration ideas while driving open communication and internal cross-functional collaboration internally at the AFL cross departmentally and within the industry. Manage commercial approvals of match day activations across Season, Finals and Grand Final for AFL/AFLW Monitor and approve Club advertising approvals across BrandHQ Assist AFL Corporate Partners/team providing support around partner guidelines, entitlements with Clubs and player usage Assist the Marvel Precinct Events team in the planning of all events Assist in the management, content & delivery of the new AFL Player Ambassador program Develop strong working relationship with player ambassador groups, helping to organise bookings for content productions and appearances and ensure compliance Attend and assist content shooting sessions where applicable and available Work with Clubs and the AFLPA to deliver player ambassador education sessions to playing groups on the program, requirements, technology and compliance Establish regular meeting cadence with Primary stakeholders (AFLPA, Clubs, Telstra, Partnerships Team), and determine appropriate briefing methods across the industry Create, ingest and monitor data within the ambassador platform Maintain reports and records of player contractual entitlements, player compliance and EOS reports.
