Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) is seeking an experienced leader ready to take the next step in their career journey with this newly created position. The Manager – Commercial Operations will be an integral part of the Service Delivery Leadership team, responsible for driving the achievement of operational outcomes under existing and future commercial agreements, leading effective and genuine stakeholder collaboration, and delivering strong outcomes.
About your new role...
This multifaceted position will see you build effective relationships to ensure the delivery of operational services and assets with a commercial focus. Drawing on both your knowledge and experience in the regulated and unregulated environment, you will lead and influence contract delivery improvements and build GVWs commercial capabilities to meet the requirements of agreements and the strategic objectives of the business.
As part of the role, your operational experience coupled with an enthusiasm for developing people and teams will position you to lead, mentor and provide day to day management of GVW’s farming enterprise, with a commitment and passion for leading safety and continuous improvement.
Measuring and monitoring performance towards objectives, targets and performance you will identify and implement improvements at the team and contract level and partner across the business to achieve strong outcomes.
Working with the Customer and Growth team you will contribute to identifying new unregulated business opportunities and lead the investigation and planning for the delivery of operational services to fulfill new opportunities.
This position can be based from any of our office locations and will regularly travel across the GVW service area.
About you...
Bringing your experience in delivering regulated and unregulated commercially focused outcomes, you will have operational experience in the delivery of services in the water or wastewater industry accompanied by a Bachelor Degree or above in Engineering or Science.
You will:
- Be an adaptable leader with demonstrated experience leading positivity and building trust aligned with the strategic focus of the organisation.
- Value and be motivated by working collaboratively and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written and presentation skills.
- Possess a strong OHS commitment and focus.
