We are seeking experienced and versatile candidates with knowledge in procurement, contracting, supply chain, and/or project management and associated fields.
Located at the Air Warfare Systems Program Office (AWSPO) in Williamtown NSW, the Commercial Support specialist will be accountable to perform and achieve commercial activities within an integrated workforce, specifically in the day-to-day management of commercial services in accordance with the required schedule.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Preparation, development, support and maintenance of procurement documentation including:
- Plans, performance and risk reviews, processes and strategies
- ASDEFCON contracts / other forms of bespoke contracting vehicles
- Market assessments, evaluations and negotiations
- Reporting and performance reviews, and
- Contract change proposals
- Engage, brief, and negotiate with capability managers and stakeholders.
- Managing contracts, including drafting formal correspondence, reviewing deliverables, drafting documentation (such as briefs, strategies, contract changes, approvals, etc.)
- Managing expenditure and invoicing, reviewing and evaluating service providers, and auditing the commercial process.
Essential experience required
- Understanding of CASG and its role within the wider Defence force.
- Good level of commercial awareness within Defence.
- Experience or qualifications in commercial law or finance.
- Active NV1 Clearance.
Desirable experience
- Strong knowledge in procurement, contracting, supply chain and/or project management.
- Provable problem-solving, analytical ability, communication skills, and project management expertise.
- Background with stakeholder engagement, including those from non-technical backgrounds.
- The ability to navigate the organisation, build rapport, identify solutions, educate, train, and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to meet objectives.
