Surf Life Saving SA is the peak organisation for surf lifesaving in South Australia and is affiliated with Surf Life Saving Australia.
Surf Life Saving SA (SLSSA) is responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of surf lifesaving throughout South Australia and has the responsibility for servicing its 9,000 members and 22 clubs.
Position Scope:
The specific objective of this position is to provide effective and efficient administration support for the Registered Training Organisation’s (RTO) Commercial Training Division.
This position will support SLSSA staff in the effective delivery of accredited courses and administer the student management system in accordance with ASQA compliance requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Administration of the student management system (aXcelerate).
- Administering the course enrolment process.
- Distributing online course components.
- Commercial course enquiries/cancellations/payments.
- Updating and uploading course information to the SLSSA website and Teamup calendar.
- Preparation of commercial course paperwork and resources.
- Planning and scheduling commercial courses in conjunction with Head Trainer and Commercial Training Manager.
- Coordinating commercial trainers in conjunction with the Head Trainer and Commercial Training Manager.
- Coordinating and booking travel and accommodation for regional training.
- Resulting/Processing/ Reporting using Surf Guard and aXcelerate the Student Management Systems.
- Quality checking data periodically as advised by the VET Compliance Coordinator.
- Review and actioning of learner surveys.
- Data reporting (AVETMISS) in conjunction with the VET Compliance Coordinator.
- Distributing Qualifications and Statement of Attainment certificates
- Collating course evaluations and distributing to commercial trainers.
- Invoicing/receipting and quoting for commercial courses using Xero.
- Archiving training records.
- Maintaining commercial course resources.
- Maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining processes/instructions for role tasks or functions.
- Backfilling administrative tasks of the Education and Training team as required.
- Providing Management with monthly reports as requested.
- Ordering of first aid equipment for commercial clients on an as needs basis.
- Supporting the Education team at expos and events.
Essential Skills:
- Administration of a Student Management System.
- Efficient administration and coordination skills.
- Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal written communication.
Desirable Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Certificate level 3 or higher is desirable.
- Working in an RTO environment is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with aXcelerate Student Management Systems is desirable.
- Understanding of Surf Life Saving and its unique culture, not for profit, charity sector is desirable but not essential.

Hours of work:
The position is full-time, and the nature of the role requires some out of hours and weekend work.
Special Requirements:
The successful applicant will be required to satisfy the requirements of a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.
