Communication And Engagement Coordinator Suburban Connect

The Suburban Connect consortium, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA and Ghella, have been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the first major tunnelling package on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.
The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project's twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash and the construction of portals - the entrances and exits to the tunnels - at the stabling facility.

About the Opportunity:
Join our team as Communication and Engagement Coordinator. You'll be the key to developing and implementing a regular program of stakeholder contacts/liaison meetings to ensure smooth transition from concept to construction completion.
The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Developing a systematic and user-friendly complaints handling procedure, effectively dealing with complaints and keeping stakeholders informed on progress
• Understanding contractual requirements in relation to the community
• Consulting with the project team to identify and anticipate community concerns and to understand the priorities and requirements of the project team
• Developing appropriate communication tools (e.G., Presentation material, press releases, letters)

We are looking for someone with:

• Relevant degree or diploma e.g., Public relations, Customer Service, Journalism, Communications, Media or similar tertiary qualification
• 1-3 years minimum in Community Relations, Public Relations, Communication, customer service or similar experience
• Understanding of relationship management including empathy, cultural understanding, practical skills and or training in negotiation and facilitation
• Problem solving and conflict management abilities
