Position Overview:
Master Builders Australia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Communication Manager to join our team full-time in Adelaide. This role is an excellent opportunity for a media or communications professional eager to make a significant impact. We are looking for a team player who can think creatively, work flexibly, and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop proactive written communications content, including online material, media releases, eDMs, and articles.
- Assist the policy and communications team by editing and summarizing policy submissions and other government relations material.
- Perform basic video editing for social media and member updates.
- Produce graphics for social media (training provided if required).
- Coordinate and produce MBA’s podcasts and webinars in consultation with the National Director.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- High-level professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to write and develop communication materials using appropriate tone and voice for different media, aligning with the construction industry.
- Experience in developing content for websites, video, and social media is highly regarded.
- Strong collaboration skills, particularly with Member Associations.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and professional manner.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a broader team.
- Ability to manage and undertake a high volume of workflow.
- Understanding of the building and construction industry is preferred but not essential.
