About the company: Our client is a large and busy State Government Department, and they are looking for a Communications Advisor to join their busy team on a temporary assignment until July 2027. A great opportunity to apply your communications skills to support projects in design, construction and maintenance phases within delivery team providing communications to assigned projects.
About the role:
- Provide high level communication advice and support to regional staff on communication strategies for key stakeholder and community engagement
- Research and gather information and write articles for various project materials, including newsletters, construction notifications, webpage content, online engagement information, reporting
- Coordinate and write media statements, responses to media enquiries, speech notes and other communications materials for the Minister’s office and senior management.
- Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards and procedures
About you:
- You will ideally have previous experience in Government Communications or community engagement
- You will have “C” Class Driver license
- You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills
- You will have strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- You will have intermediate to advanced IT skills
