The Role:
Talent Street is looking for a Communications Advisor - A05 for a large Queensland government department to ensure effective relationship outcomes for regional projects. You will be required to advise on, develop, implement and monitor a range of high quality and timely communications services relating to community engagement, stakeholder relationship management, reputational and issues management, media relations, executive correspondence and internal communications for projects in the design and construction phases on the client's projects for the North Coast Region.

Responsibilities:
- Provide high level communication advice and support to regional staff on communication strategies for key stakeholder and community engagement on infrastructure projects in the design and construction phases using appropriate communication tools and processes to develop, implement and monitor activities.
- Research and gather information and write articles for various project materials, including newsletters, construction notifications, webpage content, online engagement information, reporting and so on.
- Coordinate and write media statements, responses to media enquiries, speech notes and other communications materials for the Minister’s office and senior management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate cooperation, coordination and enhanced communication channels.
- Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards and procedures.
Desirable Requirements:
- A current Class ‘C’ Drivers Licence;
- While qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing would be highly desirable. Preferably International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) in Engagement.
- Understanding of Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia framework and how it applies to infrastructure projects. Preferably Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional qualification (however, this is not mandatory).
