As a private sector, not-for-profit organisation, GGA is positioned within the agriculture industry as a dynamic, agile organisation contributing to shaping the future of agriculture collaborating in over 30 projects valued in excess of $70m, and building the human capital of the industry through a Capacity Building program that delivers more than 25 professional development activities per year.
Grower Group Alliance is experiencing a period of rapid growth and is seeking an experienced Communications and Events Officer to support the implementation of key communication and engagement activities across the business.
About the Role
Reporting to, and working closely with, the Stakeholder and Communication Manager you will be a key player in supporting the organisation’s Communications and engagement strategies.
Working in a highly digital and systemised communications team, you will draw on your expertise in the use of digital tools. Your experience and technical acumen will help deliver cut-through communications, execution, and engagement across a range of GGA’s projects and clients.
Some of your duties will include:
- Support development of project Communications and engagement plans for various initiatives.
- Manage implementation of the plans, achieving deadlines and required outcomes using digital tools and your professional judgement.
- Optimise and co-manage communications through a range of digital channels.
- Lead and manage delivery for the fortnightly agricultural industry newsletter.
- Lead and manage preparation of the quarterly Farm Weekly submissions.
- Support end-to-end online and in person stakeholder events.
- General reporting, development of presentations and documents.
About You
You will be a collaborative, innovative professional who is confident to work with a range of internal and external parties to achieve results.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Public Relations, Communications, Sales & Marketing or related discipline.
- Extensive experience with a range of digital programs and social media platforms.
- Resilient and accustomed to operating to tight deadlines.
- Confident engaging with stakeholders in person or via cold calling.
- Experienced and influential networker.
- Driven, highly organised, able to manage multiple conflicting deadlines and priorities.
- Previous experience or understanding of the WA agriculture industry would be well regarded.
