The City of Karratha is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Arts, Culture and Events team as an Events Officer for a Fixed Term contract up to 6-month duration. This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The Events Officer is responsible for managing a number of events catered to the local community. These events form part of the Arts, Culture & Events portfolio and as such the Officer will be required to support events across the portfolio. This includes physical delivery, planning and marketing. The Events Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Arts, Culture & Events Coordinator, managing the delivery of the Civic events portfolio and supporting the team in the delivery of the wider events portfolio.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Practical experience in general administration duties
- Experience working on community events/events (desirable)
- Previous local government experience (desirable)
- Current C class driver’s licence
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
