About the role:
We’re on the lookout for an adept marketing-communications specialist to join our Media, Communications and Marketing (MCM) team. From helicopter rescues and jet transfers to our leading education programs, you’ll be responsible for capturing and sharing the many stories of CareFlight across our digital and social platforms.
A creative thinker, you will source and create content, writing both short snappy copy and in longer form, for social media, websites, and offline channels.
As a primary media contact, you will produce media releases, handle media enquiries, and develop strategic PR campaigns.

To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or public/media relations.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a marketing, communications or media/PR role.
- Experience in managing multiple internal and external Communications and Marketing campaigns.
- Ability to write snappy short or long form copy.
- Experience producing social media content and running campaigns.
- Willingness to embed yourself into the wider CareFlight team to find interesting stories to be told and shared.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple demands.
- Flexibility to work weekends and on-call Duty Media Officer as required by your manager.
- Flexibility to work at CareFlight’s Bankstown airport base 1-2 days a fortnight.
- Experience in managing workload autonomously.
Desirable:
- Experience in photography and video production
- Experience generating engaging content campaign ideas to appeal to various audiences
- Experience producing and publishing engaging content, marketing materials, newsletters and media releases.
- Experience in using a marketing automation platform to send email newsletters
- Prior experience working within or coordinating external marketing/communications agencies.
- Prior experience working in the not-for-profit sector
- Current driver’s license.
