Responsibilities
Our Communications and Social Media Coordinator has been developed to increase the awareness and advocacy for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and the Save Our Sons Duchenne Foundation.
Responsibilities taken on by this role can include, but are not limited to:
- Developing, coordinating, and driving our Social Media and communication strategies
- Building positive brand awareness with existing and potential supporters, volunteers, suppliers, and partners
- Exploring new and innovative ways to improve awareness of our cause
- Promoting events by liaising with sponsorships/partnerships
- Producing Save Our Sons Social Media content, marketing materials, and resources
- Planning Social Media content and delivering campaigns across multiple Social Media platforms
- Developing and executing Communications and Marketing plans, and digital roadmap
- Ensuring communication is aligned with the Save Our Sons brand guidelines
- Attending events to support the team and capitalise on Social Media opportunities
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in a marketing, Social Media, or creative/content role
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and familiarity with WordPress, Shopify, or other CMS
- Experience in creating organisational documents
- Ability to use digital analytical tools for both monitoring and monthly reporting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible within a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a current working with children’s check
- Able and willing to undergo Police Checks
- Possess a current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
- Maintain eligibility to work in Australia
