Communications Assistant at the Diocese of Parramatta.
The Communications Team at the Diocese of Parramatta is growing, and we are after an Communications Assistant to help us tell all the great stories from the Catholic Church and its agencies in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
The Communications Assistant position will suit someone who has recently finished a Communications or Media degree, has experience in a PR/communications agency or in-house and is looking for a role that will give them exposure across all the communications fields – marketing, internal and external communications, media, advertising, editorial, social media and digital media.
The Communications Assistant plays a pivotal role in the efficient running of the Communications Team. The role includes drafting and editing communications materials, helping with organising events, managing advertising for our magazine, reporting, uploading content onto digital and social platforms and overall assistance with implementing the communication strategies. This role is also responsible for administrative tasks of the communications function.
About You
You have a demonstrated understanding and preparedness to commit to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Parramatta. You have exceptional written and verbal skills as well as strong organisational skills with excellent attention-to-detail. You have great knowledge of social and digital, you are knowledgeable in office management software (Microsoft 365) and other design and web tools (Adobe, Wordpress and Canva), but above all have a positive and ‘can-do’ attitude.
