As our Communications, Marketing, and Engagement Specialist, you will be a dynamic communicator, pivotal in driving the delivery of Sequana’s internal and external communications, marketing, and engagement initiatives.
You will also be responsible for delivering creative communication strategies that enhance internal and external awareness and engagement with Sequana including marketing, content creation, event management, community engagement, industry partnerships, and corporate communications.

What you do
- Execute internal and external communications strategy end-to-end through defined communications channels.
- Utilise your skills in communications and marketing to boost awareness and engagement for Sequana both internally and externally across various channels.
- Support leadership team and business units in crafting key messages and communications for internal announcements and initiatives.
- Optimise and maintain our team communications channels (SharePoint intranet site and weekly e-newsletter), ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.
- Monitor feedback and engagement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
- Create compelling content for LinkedIn, media releases, thought leadership pieces, speeches, and web content while managing the scheduling and distribution of these communications and working with team members to source information and crafting compelling stories and updates for external audiences..
- Utilise basic design skills to create visually appealing, on-brand content for social media, internal and external marketing, and branding assets to ensure a consistent and professional image is maintained across all Sequana communications.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of internal and external events, workshops, and panels including preparing communications for the team about the event, content creation, and venue and equipment setup.
- Contribute to relevant client work in the community engagement, stakeholder engagement, and communications space as and when required.
Who you are
Candidates should possess:
- Relevant qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Communications or Marketing role.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a knack for storytelling and a sharp eye for detail.
- Demonstrated skills as a highly competent writer across a broad range of communications channels, including digital content, media releases, speeches, key messages, and reports.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of professionalism, and strong relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with communication tools and platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to timeframes.
- Experience with graphic design programs such as Canva and familiar with digital content platforms.
- Highly developed writing, communication, organisation and planning skills with the ability to translate technical language and concepts into audience-specific messaging.
