Job description
The primary focus of this role is to develop and implement digital engagement strategies and communication content on behalf of the Senior Director, Organisational Capability and the wider Organisational Capability Service Line within the People and Operations Division.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Communications Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide advice in the development, implementation and evaluation of communication strategies and content for a wide range of initiatives
Display excellent interpersonal skills and business acumen including the ability to liaise, consult and build positive and effective working relationships
Prepare and present written online and digital content of a complex and substantial nature
Work collaboratively with and provide expert advice to leaders with regard to the creation of new content and communication elements
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary part time (45.6 hours per fortnight, up to 6 months with the possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $51.69 - $56.24 per hour
About Us
The Communications Officer will sit within the Organisational Capability Service Line however will retain a professional reporting line through to the Strategic Communications and Engagement Service Line, to the Manager Internal Communications. This position works hand in hand with the Strategic Communications and Engagement Division to ensure consistent delivery of GCH initiatives and communication styles based at the Carrara Health Centre.
