The Communication Support Officerwill play an important role in delivering effective communication activities for Digital Science Scientific Computing Projects.
In this role you will work closely with project managers, key stakeholders and the Digital Science Engagement team, fostering strong relationships that promote awareness of project activities, further building our reputation. This role will see you working under the direction of the Engagement Manager and closely with the DS Engagement and Project Management teams, in order to develop and implement a wide range of project related communication artefacts
Duties to include:
- Produce compelling multi-channel communication initiatives, promoting key project and organisational messages including emails, newsletters, brochures, flyers, factsheets, presentations and web pages
- Contribute to the creation of a suite of communication artefacts, including templates, branding and messaging guides and standards
- Work closely with projects, helping to translate complex information into clear and simple concepts that meet stakeholder information needs
- Contribute to the execution and update of communication and digital marketing strategies
- Create and maintain strong client engagement with stakeholders, encouraging genuine feedback, through a variety of consultation techniques
- Collaborate with researchers and internal staff to develop engaging communications that connect with researchers and build strong relationships (SharePoint, websites, tools, guides, etc.)
- Develop innovative and interesting ideas for effective communication to the Research Community
Essential criteria
- Produce compelling multi-channel communication initiatives, promoting key project and organisational messages including emails, newsletters, brochures, flyers, factsheets, presentations and web pages
- Assist projects with the development of communication plans as required
- Collaborate with researchers and internal staff to develop engaging communications that connect with researchers and build strong relationships (SharePoint, websites, tools, guides, etc.)
- Contribute to the execution and update of communication and digital marketing strategies
