Are you up for the challenge?We are currently looking for a Community and Communications Coordinator to join the John Holland Communications team working on our Southwest Metro Corridor project, based in Canterbury.Responsibilities of the role include:
- Assist in identifying stakeholder and community issues and recommend strategies to respond, prevent complaints and minimise impacts
- Assist to develop and implement the Communications, Stakeholder Relations and Community Relations strategy for the project
- Assist to develop and implement strategies to mitigate construction impacts and to effectively respond to feedback and concerns.
- Arrange site specific information sessions, site visits and local inductions in relation to Community and stakeholder issues
- Assist with project related communications matters
- Liaise with the construction team to ensure Community and stakeholders are notified in advance of works in accordance with the Community Relations strategy.
- Assist in the planning and management of contact with external stakeholders in a way that enhances the reputation of the Joint Venture
- Assist in communicating the Community and stakeholder awareness and risk minimisation programs across the Project through inductions and toolbox presentations
- Contribute to the identification of construction related risks and hazards with regard to community members Undertake face to face consultation with local stakeholders and community members
- Assist to develop strategies to achieve best possible results with project KRA and KPI's
- Input communications and stakeholder activities into the project stakeholder database and project reporting cycles
2-3 years' experience in communications & stakeholder roles, construction experience preferrable
Typical Relevant experience gained within major organisations within the relevant sector, government or consultancy
Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience (Disciplines relevant to function area, e.g. public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, marketing)Hold a current NSW driver's licenceWhat we can offer:
