We are seeking people interested in joining the CGH team of Community Carers in Wellington Shire. Our team supports older people and people living with a disability to remain living independently at home by providing excellent care and services. There is significant need within our community for assistance with domestic duties and we are recruiting to meet this need. We have Part Time and Casual positions available with flexible working hours.
About Central Gippsland Health
Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.
CGH support the Wellington Shire community with in-home support services including domestic assistance, personal care, respite services, delivered meals and medication prompting. The CGH approach to providing these services is to place the client at the centre of their care and support them to achieve their personal goals.
Duties
- Assisting clients with domestic assistance which includes cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors; ironing and washing laundry; moving light furniture; bed making; dusting; and assistance with food preparation
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Current Victorian Driver’s license
- Own vehicle (travel allowance will be paid)
- NDIS Worker Check Clearance
