ABOUT THE ROLE
We are delighted to announce the expansion of our care services for DVA consumers in Eastern Melbourne. This is a casual mobile role, and we seek passionate Overnight Support Workers to provide steady and reliable care for our clients. Successful applicants will be required to work a mix of Active and Inactive overnight shifts from Monday to Friday, between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, for 12 hours.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
-As an Overnight Support Worker, you will assist with dinner preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility transfers to bed while always ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients.
-You will also be expected to observe and monitor your clients regularly and report any concerns or significant changes to the Colbrow Care Team/Nurse Manager.
-You will provide personal care, social support, companionship, and domestic assistance around the home.
-Experience providing care within the Aged Care, Disability, or Veteran sectors and hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability. Nursing Students who have completed their first-year placement are preferred (not essential).
- You must also have a Current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (which includes a Police Check), a First Aid Certificate, and CPR certification.
- A friendly, bright attitude and excellent communication skills.
