Salary: $75,788 - $90,126, per annum (pro rata) + 11% super

Key responsibilities include:The Community Development OfficerAccess and Inclusion leads the development, implementation and monitoring of the Access and Inclusion Plan 2021-2025 and provides a point of liaison between the City of Fremantle and the community. This position reports to the Community Development Team Leader and will be expected to bring creativity and flexibility, along with the following attributes.
- Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Community Development, social sciences, disability services or occupational therapy.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures impacting on the delivery of services to people with disabilities.
- Knowledge and experience with Access and Inclusion Plans, including their development, management and implementation.
- Knowledge and experience of the disability sector including NDIS and current Access and Inclusion policy and practice relating to accessible, premises, services, events and information.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing strategies for inclusion and community participation for people with disabilities, CALD and LGBQTIA+ communities.
- Highly developed verbal and written communications skills across a broad range of mediums, including face to face and social media.
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- Current Western Australian c class drivers’ license (desirable).
- Current Police clearance
