The Opportunity

The Domain Country Club Retirement Village is a resort-style community, located in Ashmore and set amongst 42 acres of beautifully landscaped and picturesque gardens. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, financial performance and services of the community. You'll have an enthusiastic approach to service, coupled with financial acumen, strong negotiation skills and people management skills. However, your customer service and engagement skills are where you really excel. You are a team builder who can develop mutually beneficial relationships with employees and residents to positively promote The Domain Country Club.

You will

  • Coordinate all daily operations of village services including safety, security, maintenance, compliance and events 
  • Build resident satisfaction by creating a vibrant and inclusive culture throughout the community that is built on communication, professionalism and respect
  • Create and implement village financial budgets and be responsible for all financial performance of the village
  • Ensure correct implementation and ongoing village compliance with all policies and procedures (including ensuring correct administrative processes are in place and followed)
  • Be responsible for managing the various Body Corporate committees and ensuring meetings, agendas and administration items are completed in a timely manner
  • Managing a team of staff including hiring, inductions, rostering/timesheets, ongoing training & development and performance management 
  • Liaise with a large amount of internal and external teams including but not limited to: sales, marketing, legal, safety/risk and contractors
  • Enable residents to maintain their optimum degree of independence, choice and quality of life & maintain effective inter-personal relations with residents and their families

What you'll bring

  • Prior experience in a front-line customer-facing management role (e.g Hotel/Resort GM, Retirement Living CM, Body Corporate Manager, Property or Facilities Management, 2IC Hotel/Resort/Tourism Management etc.)
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills where you pride yourself on your communication, time management, professionalism, empathy and negotiation skills 
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel PowerPoint)
  • Experience in developing, implementing and managing financial budgets
  • An autonomous, proactive and self-motivated attitude with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of Body Corporate Act (highly advantageous due to the mixture of Leasehold and Freehold properties)
  • Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline (desirable, not essential)
  • Minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
