Our History

The Brisbane Broncos are a professional rugby league football Club. The organisation was founded in 1987, prior to the team’s entry into the competition in 1988, as the first team outside of NSW. The Brisbane Broncos have built an iconic brand in Australian Sport and are the only publicly listed sporting franchise on the Australian Securities Exchange having grown from a total revenue of $29m in 2011 to a revenue of circa $60m in 2022.

The Club has delivered a lot of success over this time, winning six Premiership titles in the NRL Men’s competition and three Premiership titles in the NRL Women’s competition. Our vision is to become a World Class Sporting Organisation and have one of the largest fan bases in Australian sport. The Broncos are committed to the long-term development of rugby league in Queensland and the delivery of world class Community Programs focused on making a positive impact on the next generation.

About the role

The Community Programs Administration Assistant is accountable for assisting the Community Programs operations department with a variety of tasks. This will include supporting the community operations manager in general administration to support our programs and staff.

Your primary deliverables include:

Data Entry & Record Keeping

• Upload student attendance and academic data in the database

• Collate and record Beyond the Broncos enrolment forms and school data attendance ensuring all data is up to date

• Collate and file student data and program documentary evidence

• Assist with general data entry as required

Merchandising:

• Assist with the distribution of student merchandise

• Maintain the community stock room

• Assist in stock taking and ensure product is reconciled in the database

Program Activities

• Organise workshop collateral and ensure Workshop Facilitators and Student Support Officers have all relevant material for each visit

• Assist when required in making bookings for Staff Travel, accommodation, venue hire, catering and gifts

• Use marketing templates to prepare workshop flyers for regional teams

• Assisting with workshop planning and delivery

General Administration:

• Print materials and resources and place stationary orders for the department

• Workshop administration including photocopying, packing workshop resources

• Ensure all record keeping is accurate, timely and compliant with contractual requirements.

• Perform other duties that may be required by the Operations Manager or General Manager-Community and Government Programs to enhance the efficiency and quality of Broncos Community Programs.

• Ensure positive and transparent communications across internal and external stakeholders such that the Brisbane Broncos Values and reputation is upheld in all interactions.

Key Criteria

• Qualifications in a related discipline is desired (business administration, contracts administration).

• Current valid paid Blue Card

• Current Drivers licence

• Experience in effectively communicating with all range of stakeholders face-to-face, via phone and online.

• Demonstrated skills in correspondence writing and administration.

• Self-starting with the ability to take ownership of the role and provide seamless support for the Community team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with excellent personal presentation

• Demonstrated ability to work within a team

• Strong sense of respect for confidentiality involving participants and team members

• Strong attention to detail

• Good Communication skills written and verbal

• Proactive, disciplined, organised approach to work

• Ability to engage with people across a wide ranging demographic

• Excellent problem solving skills

• Excellent time management and organisation skills.

• Ability to operate as a dynamic and flexible team member.

• Ability to plan to deliver and work to deadlines in an unsupervised capacity.
