ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages a range of existing programs and conceptualises, consults, develops and coordinates new early intervention programs for families
- Coordinates the delivery of programs and events, drives participation, and reports on program outcomes
- Organises and resources programs, supports and services under the Targeted Early Intervention model
- Identifies and responds to the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged people and other clients, including food security needs
- Manages relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders and clients to ensure effective program and service delivery
- Leads community consultation and stakeholder engagement, and identifies opportunities for community development and capacity building
- Works collaboratively and in partnership with colleagues and leverages individual and combined skills mix to deliver programs
- Develops, leads and supports volunteers in their roles
- Maintains bookings, set-up and pack-down of programs
- Collects and inputs data and evaluates program efficacy
- Produces program reports and creates other written material including flyers
- Complies with all regulatory, statutory, legal, funding and service requirements
- Aligns operations with workplace health and safety (WHS) best practice
- Other tasks as directed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent professional experience
- Full Class C (NSW) driver’s licence
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) from the Office of the Children’s Guardian NSW
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Competency with regard to program leadership, program planning and implementation, program evaluation, and reporting
- Ability to engage with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds and works well in an environment of inclusiveness
- Strong communication skills; in writing, in person, by phone and online
- Flexibility in approach to work within a busy community services environment
- Responsiveness and an ability to listen to clients with a warm and open approach
- High level of technology literacy including the ability to use Word, Outlook, web based programs and portals, data collection tools and other software
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to develop and maintain professional networks and to work collaboratively
- Capacity to work autonomously and with sound decision-making skills
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
