Position: Senior Company Accountant
Hours: Part-Time (0.75 - 0.8 FTE with flexibility)
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Highlight: Complete handover and ongoing support with current external accounting team
Role Overview:
Climate Capital is on an exciting trajectory of growth and is in search of a highly skilled and motivated Company Accountant to join their team.
This pivotal role will contribute significantly to the expansion of our operating assets across Australia, offering a unique blend of challenge, growth, and flexibility. Starting part-time, this position provides an excellent opportunity for those seeking to balance professional aspirations with personal commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Ensure accurate financial records, adherence to accounting standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end close process, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budget and forecast development, offering critical financial insights for strategic planning.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to drive efficiency and cost savings, presenting findings to leadership.
- Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls, addressing any weaknesses to safeguard company assets.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with various teams and stakeholders, simplifying complex financial data for diverse audiences.
- General Duties: Facilitate investor communication, manage debt facilities, and oversee audit control processes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification highly regarded.
- Experience in project accounting or investment trusts preferred.
- Mandatory Xero experience.
- Proven accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Outstanding analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
