The Opportunity
Silk has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Compliance and Training Officer to join our transport team based at Yennora. This role will be focusing on implementing the business compliance matrix and continuous improvement.
This position plays a key role in the ongoing training and development of drivers to increase service quality and manage the health, safety and wellbeing of employees and the environment.
- Ensuring compliance with Work, Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and legislative requirements
- Maintaining adequate records applicable to AS/NZS ISO 9001(Int.):2015 audit
- Assisting with the development and creation of Standard Operator Procedures (SOP’s)
- Ensuring that all personnel have adequate ability and experience to perform their duties in a satisfactory and compliant manner
- Conducting regular driver assessments to verify competency (all aspects of driver activity, including human factor issues and driver/vehicle presentation)
- Undertaking driver training needs analysis and develop training plans that ensure daily operation and equipment impacts are minimised
- Providing regular update on the Silk Driver training plan
- Reviewing training and assessment effectiveness and making recommendation for continuous improvement
To be successful in this role you'll have
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Required)
- 2 years + experience in similar role
- Skilled and competent driver/MHE operator
- Experience in content writing
- Ability to effectively manage large training sessions
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
