About the role:
As Compliance Manager your responsibilities include ensuring the company policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards. Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements. Provide health and safety expertise and leadership, guidance and direction to line managers, and supervisors.
The successful candidate will coordinate with different departments managers to review all department compliance policies, including but not limited to:
• Develop tools for maintaining quality, safety, environment, and food safety management systems.
• Implement document control on company procedures, policies, and work instructions.
• Assist the management team to ensure compliance and regulatory obligations are met.
• Execute the updating, issuing, and disposal of all compliance documentation.
• Coordinate the audit program and work with external auditors and management, including establishing an audit schedule.
• Provide project input, coordination, and administration support to the team to assist in compliance with the organisation’s objectives.
• Provide written communications relevant to compliance matters to support tender proposals.
• Manage and complete Quality Investigation Reports.
• Identify and deliver relevant training.
• Conduct new employee and contractor inductions.
• Ensure the company retains environmental certifications including FSC, PEFC, and APCO.
• HACCP and food safety compliance.
• In addition to the above, we want to ensure that the successful candidate continues to fulfil any other activities outlined in the current position description.
The ideal applicant will possess the following:
- Relevant qualifications in OH&S or related.
- Proven ability to successfully research, plan, organize and implement initiatives and projects.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- High attention to details.
- ISO 9001 experience preferred.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Strong understanding of current legislation affecting manufacturing industry.
