This role doesn't involve people management but focuses on managing our frameworks and enhancing compliance capabilities across the organisation. - Stay current with legal requirements and best practices for compliance risk management at Youi.
- Enhance and maintain Youi's Compliance Management Framework, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Lead compliance efforts on regulatory change projects as needed.
- Provide guidance to the Line 2 Compliance team on matters related to the Compliance Management Framework and compliance expectations generally.
- Manage and co-ordinate compliance training and awareness activities being delivered by Line 2 Compliance to the business.
- Assist the Head of Compliance with reporting to executive leadership, RiskCo, the Board Risk Committee, and the Board on the Compliance Management Framework and its performance.
- A Bachelor degree in Legal Studies, Commerce, Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in a Compliance role within the Financial Services sector (5 - 10 years is a general indicator).
- Familiarity with Australian legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in the principles of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and compliance methodologies.
- Understanding of financial services, particularly in the general insurance market.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in proofreading.
- Robust time management skills, enabling handling of multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent people skills, facilitating relationship-building across all levels of the organisation.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to navigating change in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and maintenance of relevant knowledge, skills, and certifications.
