John Paul College are currently seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to uphold our commitment to excellence in regulatory compliance and risk management commencing in term 2, 2024.
This key role within the Business Operations team will take responsibility the complete scope of compliance and risk management processes at John Paul College.
This role will require the successful candidate to implement and maintain frameworks to manage risk and compliance obligations across various areas, including regulatory compliance, reporting, child protection, college policies, risk management, work health and safety, and volunteer/contractor management.
Skills and Experience:Applicants for this role will be able to demonstrate:
- Recent and relevant experience in advising, supporting and coaching a diverse range of staff on better practice compliance and risk management.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate, interact and manage staff, students and parents or other stakeholders.
- Experience in the use and management of risk management software platforms with experience in Synergetic and SEQTA well regarded.
- A deep understanding of Australian Risk Management Standards, Work Health and Safety Legislation and Compliance Frameworks and Systems. Knowledge of this in the context of a Queensland Independent School is desirable but not mandatory.
- A high standard of written and face-to-face communication, effectively communicating with all members of the College community.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance regulatory compliance with organizational objectives
- An understanding of and commitment to the John Paul College Strategic Vision and an ability to translate this into day-to-day practice.
