- The CEA COMSEC Account Manager (CAM) will be responsible for the accounting and control of all Accountable COMSEC Material (ACM) held at CEA in accordance with relevant Australian Government publications and policy.
- Provide technical, professional and policy advice, as well as contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
- Management of the local COMSEC resources providing clear direction, leadership, tasking and support.
- Operate and manage the CEA CARDS account, performing routine and mandatory tasks as defined in policy to ensure compliance.
- Manage, conduct and maintain the appropriate COMSEC briefings for CEA.
- Assist the CEA Security Office with daily operations and act as CEA's primary Safe Hand Mail Contact Officer.
- COMSEC related experience within a Defence or Defence Industry environment.
- DEFCAMMAN, CARDS, ACSI Publications
- General physical and personnel security administration in the Defence security context;
- Defence Security Principles Framework;
- Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
- Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance processes.
- A good working knowledge of:
- An advanced understanding of routine COMSEC accounting practices including;
- Issuing keying material,
- Local issue procedures,
- Security checking and auditing requirements,
- Domestic and overseas ACM movement and compliance procedures.
- An advanced understanding of COMSEC incidents and being responsible for the reporting, investigation and ongoing management of incidents.
- Completed the Defence Security Officer training course.
- Current C class drivers licence.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail and written documentation skills, including data entry experience.
- Competent in use of Microsoft applications including Excel/Word at an Intermediate level.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated to work autonomously and collaboratively within and across diverse internal teams.
- Previous experience and knowledge of electronics and/or manufacturing is an advantage.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing organisational priorities.
- Coordinating the achievement of defined timelines by safely and effectively managing time and resources given competing priorities within a dynamic and complex operating environment.
- Establish and manage effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of business objectives.
