THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Concentrate Logistics Officer is a key member of our operations team, primarily responsible for assisting the Concentrate Logistics Coordinator with activities relating to the Concentrate Logistics supply chain. This role involves a variety of tasks including inventory management, transportation, storage of product and sampling.
This is a permanent full-time position that operates on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform the assigned sampling of stockpiles, including preparation of samples using metallurgical laboratory equipment.
- Quality control and reporting of all routine sampling and other relevant data to ensure accurate data is maintained and reported in a timely manner.
- Support the Concentrate Logistics Coordinator where necessary, including Identifying efficiency improvements throughout the Concentrate Logistics value chain.
- Perform leave coverage for the duties of the Concentrate Logistics Coordinator accurately and efficiently.
- Physically inspect and ensure the quality of bulk product prior to dispatch.
- Operate forklifts in a safe and controlled manner to load trucks with bulk product.
- Comply with all safety procedures and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
ABOUT YOU:
- Current C class driver's license.
- Forklift licence
- Previous logistics experience
- Attention to detail
- Commitment to safety
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of physical work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A team player and willing to work autonomously
- Flexible approach and attitude
- Pass pre-employment medical and DAS testing
