We are currently looking to engage a Procurement Officer to oversee all MEI Group purchasing activities and ensure all purchases are cost-effective and in line with finance procedures.
The role:
- Aligning with the Finance team to execute and manage daily activities of the procurement function.
- Planning for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies across all business lines.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring the company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, evaluating supplier commercial terms, and approving products and services.
- Liaise with inventory management/production to ensure adequate inventory levels within min/max/safety levels, maintaining accurate records, and replenishment.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Ensure all goods and services purchased are done so at the best possible price and also in the best interests of the company at all times.
About you:
- Minimum 3+ years experience in a Procurement role.
- Previous experience in planning and budgeting for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
- Exposure with creating, implementing and monitoring procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, evaluating, and approving products and services.
- Exposure to inventory management with ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to create, manage and maintain good supplier relations.
- Ability to negotiate supplier commercial terms.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- International freight forwarding experience - Advantageous
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses and reporting - Advantageous
- Exposure to industrial environments - Advantageous
