Form of workSituated on the picturesque Swan River, the Tradewinds Hotel is an iconic venue in East Fremantle, a stones throw from the vibrant streets of Fremantle. We have an exciting opportunity for a Conference and Events Coordinator to join the team.
Reporting directly to the Conference & Events Manager you will be the forefront of our function department, overseeing the day-to-day operations from set up to pack down for all conferencing and Events.
You must have excellent attention to detail and an appetite to continually raise the bar. This role will require a highly organised, experienced and dynamic operator who understands the demands excelling in guest satisfaction and keeps their eye on the prize.
People are at the forefront of everything we do, so you will be accountable for driving a strong team culture and developing our next superstars. You’ll need leadership presence and be someone your staff look up to.
About You:
- You are able to work unsupervised and within a team, as well as have the ability to lead a team.
- You acknowledge that your work is a key part of the food and beverage team that delivers memorable food and beverage experiences across all functions, events, restaurant and bar.
- Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills set you apart from the rest
- You have a mindset to make fearless decisions.
- You have had some experience in a similar role with conference & events experience.
- You have strong communication skills to communicate with FOH and BOH staff
- You have sound computer skills, H&L POS system preferable.
