Construction Cadet (Projects)

Our current projects include defence, veterinary hospital, various civil works, and remote housing, with upcoming projects including a wider range of commercial and industrial maintenance and construction. 

Reporting to the Project Manager, we are looking for someone who can: 

• Assist in estimating new projects and respond to tenders alongside the Project Manager. 
• Prepare a scope of works and review subcontractor documents.
• Participate in safety inspections and audits onsite. 
• Assist Project and Site Managers with project tasks.
• Work independently and be a part of a small team. 
• Think outside the box and go the extra mile for our employees and clients. 

To be successful in this role you must have: 

• Tertiary qualification in Construction or Administration (or due to complete). 
• Current Queensland driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Construction White card.
• National Police Certificate (Criminal History Check). 
• Basic knowledge of the construction approvals process and industry. 
• The flexibility to travel as required, with local site and some interstate travel required from time to time. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with anyone and can-do attitude.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing D&A testing.
