Position Overview:
We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. As an essential member of our construction department, you'll play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects by providing accurate cost estimates and budgets. From initial concept to final completion, your expertise will help us deliver high-quality homes that not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with our design and construction teams to review project plans and specifications, identifying potential cost considerations and value engineering opportunities.
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for high-specification residential construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines and financial goals.
Source and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals, negotiating pricing and contracts to achieve the best value for our projects.
Analyse and track project costs throughout the construction process, identifying variances and implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients and vendors to provide transparency and ensure alignment on project budgets and financial expectations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in residential construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
Proficiency in estimating software’s and tools, such as MyConstruct and Buildxact with the ability to produce accurate and detailed cost estimates.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach to building relationships and achieving project objectives.
A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
