The Firm & The Role
Our client is a global elite law firm and their construction team is expanding. To this end, the firm is looking to recruit a Construction Lawyer with at least 18 months post admission experience.
This team is consistently highly ranked at the top of the legal tables. The firm and this particular team's client base is stellar and consists of local and international clients, Tier 1 construction companies, publicly listed companies, environment consultancies, mining and energy companies, rail & transport, tourism, health, major developers, government agencies (state and federal).
The role will see you working on major pieces of litigation as well as international arbitrations, local arbitrations, claims management, mediations, SOPS, ADR, adjudications. Whilst the role is back-end focused, there will be some front-end work and this team has a particular expertise in renewable energy, PPP and resources space. You will from time to time be involved in the drafting on complex, bespoke construction contracts.
The depth of knowledge of this team is second to none.
This role would suit the Construction Lawyer who wants to take the next important step in their career and accelerate their learning.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 18 months pae in the area of construction law/construction litigation or commercial litigation
- Have strong drafting and technical skills
- Have energy, drive and enthusiasm
- Have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Have the ability to think outside the square
- Have a passion for the construction industry
