- Strong pathway to accelerate your legal career
- Excellent mentoring while you have carriage of your own matters
- Top tier salary plus bonuses
Sometimes the big firms just don’t feel like a place where you can grow and take hold of the reigns for your own matters. But imagine if you could be rewarded with remuneration at or over what the big firms pay AND have the opportunity to accelerate your career, while working in a beautiful space in the CBD with a great team.
Construction Legal is an award winning construction, property and litigation firm. Our clients range from developers, construction companies and government entities to infrastructure contractors. Our practice is growing at a rapid rate and we are looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running with our expanding client base.
As a Lawyer with up to two years’ experience working in property, construction or infrastructure law, you will be running your own practice while being mentored by a team with over a century of combined experience.
What the role offers
- Remunerated at or above big law firm rates
- Accelerated career path to Associate and beyond
- High level mentor support from our Principal Solicitor who has over 20 years of experience, including a decade at a big law firm
- Opportunity to run your own matters and be responsible for projects end-to-end
- Ongoing development and management of your client relationships
What you’ll bring
- Be able to work calmly under tight timeframes and be an excellent communicator
- Ability to manage complex transactions
- Seamless contract drafting and contract review for residential properties
- Good mentoring skills to guide paralegals providing conveyancing support
- Have a well organised, practical mindset
Our team are highly experienced lawyers and advisors who offer tier one advice across the building, construction and infrastructure sectors. We are also lucky enough to work in the heart of Sydney’s CBD with a dynamic group of people.
Each day is different at our firm, with varying legal work such as large property acquisitions, complex construction and commercial disputes and front-end contracts and advisory work. In addition to conveyancing and property matters, we expect you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting matters from time to time.
The work environment
Everyone pulls their weight as part of a larger team – in times of need, everyone chips in to get the job done.
You will have carriage of your own matters with a relative level of autonomy and ongoing senior support. This is not a role where you will be micromanaged or spoon fed. You will work alongside the principal and have access to continuous mentoring as you develop your practice.
