Our client is a highly respected growing civil contractor specialising in infrastructure projects in Northern NSW and Client. With a strong emphasis on self-performing works, they have completed numerous sucessful projects and have a significant pipeline of works leading in 2024.

Opportunity:

This is an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Operations/Construction Manager to lead the team in delivering excellence in TMR and RMS projects across government, private, and resource sectors. With a focus on quality, safety, and innovation, our client takes pride in shaping communities and driving progress.

Position Overview:

As the Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency, fostering a culture of excellence, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff to achieve project objectives with excellence.
• Strategically plan and manage project resources to optimize outcomes.
• Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols and quality control measures to uphold industry standards and mitigate risks.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and industry partners to foster collaboration and secure new business opportunities.
• Analyse project performance metrics and financial data to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform decision-making and maintain competitive advantage.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the civil contracting industry, with a track record of successfully delivering TMR and RMS projects.
• Strong understanding of government regulations, industry standards, and project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
