Classification: HN16 - HN59 depending on Year Level and FTE
Salary per hour (exc. super): $156.29 - 215.80
Hours per fortnight: 14 hrs per fortnight
Employment Status: Fixed Term Part Time (12 months)

Role Description
The Oncology Unit are seeking a Consultant Haematologist for a Fixed Term part-time opportunity to provide comprehensive haematology care to the Loddon Mallee region, forming the regional arm of the Peter Mac and Parkville haematology service. This includes clinical oversight of inpatients, a consultancy service, provision of an outpatient clinics, support of subregional hospitals, and strategic service development.
The successful candidate will provide expert haematology care to inpatients, outpatients and participate in the consultancy service. The haematologist will assist in training and education, including the supervision of the haematology advanced trainee and other junior medical staff. Participation in governance, strategic planning and quality/risk activities is an essential part of the position.

The Cancer Services Department
The Oncology Unit is a day-stay unit providing a wide range of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological response modifiers and symptom support. Patient care is provided by a multi-skilled team consisting of: medical oncologists, palliative care physicians, haematologists, medical oncology registrars and interns, clinical nurse specialists and oncology nurses who are specialists in chemotherapy administration and management and allied health professionals.
