The successful applicant will be joining the incumbent paediatric neurologist to expand the service offered.The Role
- Provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to paediatric and adolescent patients and their families/carers.
- Provide in and outpatient services at the Royal Hobart Hospital as well and out reach clinics to Launceston General and North West Regional Hospital.
- Facilitate the further development and delivery of best practice Paediatric Neurology services to children and adolescents across Tasmania.
- Provide services to the School of Medicine through the Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health, University of Tasmania.
- Promote and participate in research in the area of paediatric neurological medicine.

- Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $291,472 - $301,349 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award
- Allowance in lieu of motor vehicle currently set at $27,535 pro rata per annum, paid fortnightly (with CPI indexation on 1 July each year).
- Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,000 pro rata per annum pro rata.
- Relocation allowance.
- All other allowances as per current Award.
- And subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of Base salary plus on-call, pro rata) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid.
