This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a wider roll out of regional forensic mental health services in Victoria. As the successful applicant, you will be working across community, hospital, and prison settings, with a strong focus on setting up a regional team.
Your responsibilities will include providing clinical leadership and delivering high quality services to individuals and their families who are living with the dual stigma of mental illness and offending. You will be providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients, including those with acute/chronic/severe psychiatric disorders. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing consultancy to the multidisciplinary team; supervision across a number of specialised services; supervising, educating and training medical students/junior medical practitioners; and taking part in ongoing service development activities.
