Opportunity:
We have a new and exciting opportunity at Royal Melbourne Hospital / Orygen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our vibrant team as the Hospital Coordinator of Training to support the growth of our vibrant service, specifically in the support of our Registrars and HMOs training in psychiatry
The Hospital Coordinator of Training (HCT) is responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing the training and educational requirements of Psychiatry Registrars accredited in the training program of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, to ensure that NWMH meets the requirements of the College as a training provider. This includes oversight of both local and international trainees. An involvement in the ongoing professional education of other junior medical staff (JMS) also forms part of the position objectives. The HCT will contribute to recruitment, rostering, retention and well-being activities relating to the JMS at NWMH. Where required the HCT will co-ordinate an appropriate response to JMS welfare issues that may arise (in conjunction with the Director of Medical Workforce and Director of Clinical Services and Director of Training).
There is scope for this position to be combined with other EFT in the service, depending on your preference and what EFT is needed on the team. There will be further opportunities become available over 2022 due to further Royal Commission funding roll-outs, plus opportunities in our other teams also become available, depending on our current Consultants preferences.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to problem solve in a complex and ever changing environment.
Hold current registration with AHPRA and Fellowship with RANZCP

Flexible hours may be available
