-The State Rehabilitation Service (SRC) provides specialty rehabilitation services for people across Western Australia who have experienced complex and catastrophic injuries or illness. We provide goal orientated specialty rehabilitation through tertiary or specialist level inpatient and outpatient clinical rehabilitation services. The 111-bed service is based at Fiona Stanley Hospital, providing rehabilitation patients with immediate access to other key services including operating theatres, medical imaging , pathology and pharmacy.We are currently seeking to appoint suitably qualified individuals to the position of Consultant – Rehabilitation Medicine. As part of the interdisciplinary team, you will actively lead the provision of high quality rehabilitation care to patients.In this role you will:
- promote personalised, safe and timely care
- lead and promote the organisational culture of commitment, accountability, respect and excellence
- actively addresses clinical risks and delays in patient care for individual patients
- educate and supervise junior medical staff and other health workers
- work with the Head of Specialty and other consultants to manage patient demand, achieve national performance outcomes and to meet the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards.
