Environmental Professionals – Consultant to Principal ConsultantAssessments and Approvals

Looking to take a step up in your career? We are seeking Consultants at various levels of experience from 5 years’ plus to join our Queensland Environmental Assessments and Approvals team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across a range of market sectors including the renewable energy, infrastructure and resources industries. About the role

The role will involve managing and delivering assessment and Approvals projects for our clients, including preparation of proposals, writing deliverables, schedule and budget management and subcontractor and client liaison. You will collaborate with our experienced and multi-disciplinary team with opportunities to develop your skills and enhance your professional network. You will also be required to regularly interact and work with State and Commonwealth regulatory agencies.

Interpreting legislation, government policy, standards and guidelines to deliver tailored approvals strategies and outcomes for major projects is a key part of the role. You will also ensure the delivery of high-quality approval applications and technical reports to support environmental and planning approval requirements.

About you

To be considered for a position, you will have:

A degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Experience (5+ years) of environmental assessment and Approvals work in Queensland with strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and guidance.
  • Proven ability to manage clients, projects and teams, ensuring that projects can be delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to build networks with some business development experience.
  • Experience of projects involving process industries and air quality, dust, odour and noise assessments will be highly regarded.
