Who We Are

The Brickman is a highly skilled team of LEGO® brick model builders and craftspeople, led by one of the world’s leading LEGO brick artists and only LEGO Certified Professional (LCP) in the southern hemisphere, Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught. Ryan and The Brickman team have built some of the largest and most detailed LEGO brick models in the world. With a growing portfolio of work, eight globally touring exhibitions and hundreds of models in museums, galleries, and shopping locations worldwide; there really isn’t anything The Brickman team can’t make out of LEGO bricks.

The Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Content Creator (Photographer/Videographer) to join our creative team. As a Content Creator, you will play a pivotal role in helping shape our visual narrative. Reporting directly to the Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for developing captivating content and executing production requirements across multiple business units. This is an exciting opportunity to unleash your creativity and be a crucial part of a dynamic, growing team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Creating impactful content across multiple platforms ensuring all assets reflect brand guidelines and align with overarching brand and communications plan. Requirements include, but not limited to:
  • Video capture + editing
  • Photo capture + editing 
  • Timelapse camera management and equipment maintenance
  • Creative asset file management and organisation. 
• Collaborate with the creative team to showcase our LEGO brick masterpieces through captivating digital campaigns across various channels.
• Coordinate all aspects of video production: storyboarding, script writing, prop management, logistics planning, equipment set-up, camera operation, importing and converting footage, retouching and colour correcting, cutting/editing footage, music, branded graphics and text, backup of all raw footage and filing of completed videos. 
• Work closely with the ‘Senior Graphic Designer’ ensuring all digital design request and content briefs are scheduled well in advance and completed on time and in budget. 
• Contribute to planning/scheduling/and creative direction of photo/video shoots.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and materials for content creation and production requirements. 
• Maintain an organised asset library and folder management system, ensuring easy access and retrieval of assets for the brand team.
• Assist ‘Social Media & Content Coordinator’ to update and manage website content where appropriate, as directed by manager. 

This position is primarily on-site, offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with our creative team and immerse yourself in The Brickman's unique environment. Skills & Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• 2+ years of experience in videography/content production
• Proven ability to craft compelling narratives in both short and long-form content.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey ideas clearly and collaborate effectively. 
• Exceptional photography, videography, digital design and editing skills.
• Advance skills in Adobe Creative suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop + Illustrator.
• Deep understanding of colour grading, sound mixing, and the ability to produce visually compelling content that aligns with brand guidelines. 
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite 
• Understanding of HTML + WordPress Coding Standards (preferable). 
• Familiarity with LEGO building or a passion for creativity and craftsmanship is a plus.
