About the Role We are seeking a Full-Time Content Specialist (Copywriter) at THQ Blackburn, VIC, tasked with providing a truly exceptional, customer-focused service to drive excellence and performance. The Content Specialist (Copywriter) is responsible for activating branded content that ladders up to the holistic organisational brand strategy.

As a member of the Brand team within the wider Brand and Campaigns team, the Content Specialist will work as part of a broader cross-functional team, and ensure a brand lens is applied throughout the creation of compelling long and short copy, to position The Salvation Army (TSA) brand to win hearts and minds, and deliver sustainability, relevance and advocacy through understanding our audiences while delivering creative consistency and brand compliance across all aspects of TSA. Key responsibilities for this role will include: Manage content requirements by working with internal stakeholders in support of the refreshed brand strategy of TSA across internal and external channels Gather, draft, edit and repurpose content to meet the requirements of the Brand team while communicating the refreshed brand expression Collaborate with service and program delivery areas to strategically position their services with a holistic brand approach through compelling copy and brand narrative

Work cross-functionally across wider Brand and Campaigns team to meet the demands placed on the Brand department Ensure all branding activities are developed and executed in accordance with legislation, TSA policy and values and applicable codes of practice Key capabilities: Communicate effectively: Presents with credibility, engage varied audiences and tests levels of understanding Strategic focus: Implements strategy and big picture focus within own area of responsibility Influence others: Uses multiple strategies to give and receive constructive feedback, influence thinking and behaviour of others and gain their support and commitment Displays resilience: Welcomes new challenges and persists in raising and working through challenging and difficult issues and demonstrates leadership in highly pressured and unpredictable situations Innovate and continuously improve: Fosters a culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement Experience and qualifications required: To be considered for the role, you must have: 5 years’ experience as a copywriter working across a range of channels, contexts and sectors, ideally including experience from a master brand perspective Degree in Communications (or related discipline) Demonstrated understanding and ability developing brand content and engaging, relevant, integrated and campaign creative Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong storytelling ability Not-for-profit industry experience is considered desirable Why work for us?
